Thanks again NoShear! You seem to come across pictures I don't have. I do have a good collection and many of Dean and his sons at the Dodger games. I even have him at the stadium with Frank's kids, but funny, I don't think I have any of Dean and Frank at the ballpark.
I know Dean was a big Dodger fan. He loved all kinds of sports. He loved tennis and had a tennis court behind his home on Mountain Drive. His son Dino Jr. later became a tennis pro. Of course for Dean though his favorite sport was gulf!
Thanks again, and if you come across any more 'Dean' pictures send them my way and I'll do the same - if I come across interesting pictures of the glamorous and beautiful Norma!

You are always welcome, christine... If I correctly recall reading, Dean Martin Jr. once pitched a Little League no-hitter. (The tennis serve is similar to throwing a baseball.)

In my opinion NoSear, Dean Paul Jr. was very much like his father. Like Dean, he was also very athletic and loved sports. Jr. seemed to be good at everything he tried. Dean Sr. once joked with Johnny Carson that his son was cast in a movie with Ali MacGraw - PLAYERS 1979, a part that he wanted! Of course Dean was 62 years old then. He also was in his own rock band. He never reached the level of his father's entertaining, but if he would have lived - who knows. Dean with his son Dean Paul Jr.

MARRIAGE ON THE ROCKS 1965, is playing on TCM 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning. This is the third 'Dean' movie that TCM had on the May schedule. In 1965 the peak of popularity of the 'Rat Pack' was on a downhill ride and Dean was more involved in his golfing, family and his brand new television show airing on NBC. He didn't know it then, but it would become one of the most popular variety shows ever on TV. In 1967 he would win the Golden Globe award for it - and be nominated 4 times. This would also be the last film he and Frank Sinatra would make together until the 1980's. A good cast - Along with Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra are Deborah Kerr, Cesar Romero, Hermione Baddeley, John Mcgiver and young Nancy Sinatra playing (what else), Frank's daughter. Have fun watching this romantic comedy!

I just watched MARRIAGE ON THE ROCKS. Dean is his usual persona until midway when he gets to shine: he is accidently married to Kerr. He gets to show off comedic talent for panic and frustration. Frank plays a part I haven't seen him in-solid upright responsible husband and father, which without lines is funny-not as in bad performance, but because it is so opposed to Frank's reputation. As with most great films, it's the choice of the character actors. Romero and Baddeley shine, McGiver and Kathleen Freeman give their reliable performances and seeing DeForrest Kelley not being Dr. McCoy always surprises me.
Tony Bill as Nancy's boyfriend-I often confuse him with Frank Jr. initially in films.

Dean's 107th Birthday celebration is tomorrow. Forgive me but I'm actually on here to practice and figure out some of my technology skills which are not up with many others that write on this website. For example, I would like my pictures to look as nice as many of yours but I don't know how to make them bigger - size them. I only know how to attach them.

I had the same trouble when I first joined TopBilled's site, christine. Maybe this will help... First, find an image where you find the size suitable to what you want viewed. Block (read: highlight the link's URL), copy and then go into the Insert Image on this page and paste the link within the Image URL box which should yield a satisfying result: - oops, wrong NBC image! Again, block the link for the desired image, copy it, and then click on the Insert Image choice on this page and paste the link onto the Image URL box like so : The Alt Text box of the Insert Image tool is simply where you type a name or description of your chosen image. Hope you find this helpful, christine...

I get how to bring an image over by copying the ULR, but what I've never been able to do here - that I have been able to do at other forums - is resize the image here.

I did at first have trouble with realizing any satisfactory photo post size until I learned how to use the Insert Image tool, and that's why I think christine might find it useful even if it's not resizing the image.

I used to be able to resize images on WordPress, then bring them over here from my blog. But lately that option is not working on WordPress. So I have had to go the extra step of resizing them on my iPhoto app on my laptop, which is a bit time consuming. Then I put them on my WordPress blog and bring them here...it is now a three-step process! But I am one of those posters who dislikes really-really L-A-R-G-E photos, so it's worth it to me to be able to get them down to a size I like on the iPhoto app.
If I knew a simpler, easier way I'd do it. And tell you all how. I am hoping the glitch on WordPress is temporary.

^ To resize an image, you might try resizing 'remotely', Fading Fast...
Go into, say, Windows downloads, click on the saved image, choose the "See more" option and then click on the "Resize image".

Thanks so much you guys, and NoShear as always, you're very helpful. I'm off to do some errands now but later I'll sit down and try these tips. Your pictures of Norma are always so wonderful (of course her beauty shows through). That's how I want people to view Dean - as I do - with his kind heart showing.

^ I realize that's not really what you're looking to read, Fading Fast, but I'm hoping christine can find the Insert Image tool to be satisfactory. (I just couldn't get a satisfactory image size until fiddling with the Insert Image option.)

If you discover a photo of Dean Martin where you immediately aren't pleased with the size, you might try entering the saved image of it into the "Search by image" tool on Google to see if you can come up with a more instantly satisfying image size of the photo. (Google's "Search by image" option also can be helpful with identifying an unknown person seen in a photo as well.)

I can easily download the picture to my Mac and resize it, but then, because I don't have my own blog like Topbilled, I don't have a site to create a URL for the newly sized pic to post on this site. It's not having a place to store a picture that creates a URL for it that has been my issue, again, unless I'm just missing the obvious.
