Hey, remember when our parents thought THESE haircuts were too outrageous? Sepiatone Nice example choice, Sepiatone... The album's back cover photo of the BEATLES in their matching Mandarin collars was unintentionally a glimpse into a future element of the Fab Four:

Three Days of the Condor is a movie I could watch daily and I don't even know why. Some great hair, some great hats. The Big Kahuna's hair goes a bit rogue there at the end but maybe it was humid that day.

Three Days of the Condor is a movie I could watch daily and I don't even know why. Some great hair, some great hats. The Big Kahuna's hair goes a bit rogue there at the end but maybe it was humid that day. Redford, one of the great heads of male hair ever, had so much cool style in this one. Your shots capture it, plus there's this one of him in jeans and a tweed sport coat:
In a particularly ugly style decade, Redford did really well in this movie wearing some pretty timeless outfits.
Since this is a hair thread, a note must be made of how awful Cliff Robertson's toupee swirl is in this movie:
Like you, Galacticgirrrl, I can't say quite why, but I enjoy this movie and find myself watching at least part of it whenever it's on. Part of it simply is Redford's cool and Dunaway's pretty had really good screen chemistry.
My comments on it from several years back here: "Three Day of the Condor" (as always, feel free to ignore)

Both my wives liked Dustin Hoffman's hair in KRAMER VS KRAMER; And AL PACINO'S hair in SERPICO. Sepiatone

I've always loved Paulette Goddard's hairstyles. For the most part, she wore her hair free and bouncy. I think this complimented her fun and spirited personality.

Mitchum had a heck of a head of hair and I like that, in an era when they often slicked men's hair down to the point that it didn't movie, they often let Mitchum's do its own thing.

Just stumbled across this shot of Mitchum from the 1974 movie "Yakuza." He's 57 here and his hair is still looking pretty darn Mitchum-tousled good. For those who've been keeping up with our "Is That What You're Wearing?" fashion thread, while you can't really see the detail here, the sport coat the actor behind Mitchum is wearing is a grey herringbone, like we recently talked about in that thread. I looked, but couldn't find a good pic of it.

The hair styles in Dracula's Daughter (1936) are quite striking, particularly those of Irving Pichel and Gloria Holden.

As usual, I have TCM on in the background and just noticed how nice Bette Davis' hair looks in "The Bride Came C.O.D."

For 1950's platinum-sexpot-who-isn't-Marilyn hair (It was absolutely a thing), Jayne Mansfield and Mamie Van Doren probably shared top honors. These two kept the long wavy tresses going after Marilyn herself had moved on. At the time this screamed movie star glamor. Now I'm not exactly sure what it screams.

For them it probably says(but doesn't scream) "Eyes up here, mister!" Sepiatone

Never noticed it before, but I see it now.
Aniston has the much better hair though. Fading Fast, this month has seen the Internet abuzz Jennifer Aniston's touted tresses gone gray: www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/internet-losing-over-jennifer-aniston-193500717.html For me, there's something tragic about the perennial It Girl shilling hair product as she slips into old age without the presence of father or family of her own.

Since it was right before the internet / social media fragmented attentions, she and her famous hair style was a really big, silly cultural thing for a moment.

Kirk Douglas had a heck of a head of hair:
It wasn't until the longer-haired, "natural look" 1970s that we got a chance to see what his hair could really do:
And here he is next to another hair icon, Robert Mitchum:

I absolutely love this style, worn here by David Manners:
Oh, and I always thought Aline MacMahon had gorgeous long hair. I am surprised she rarely wore it down in films, though maybe that style did not suit her characters. And perhaps she was like me and hated wearing her hair down because it is a sensory nightmare.
