By the way, though of apparent Japanese heritage, Harold Sakata actually represented the United States for the '48 Summer Games as he was from Hawaii.

All this rain at the Paris Olympics reminds me of SABRINA in which Audrey Hepburn insists that Paris smells sweetest after it rains.….. ……But Doris Day begs to differ in APRIL IN PARIS in which she insists on eating at a sidewalk cafe in a rainstorm. Don’t worry, crashing cyclists, next time in LA the roads will be dry. Gidget can tell you it never rains here!

Bruce Bennett You know him from many classics like TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE and MILDRED PIERCE But before all that, he won silver in Shotput at the 1928 Olympics under his real name Herman Brix If your name was Herman Brix, you’d change it too!

He also played in the film DARK PASSAGE 1947 with Bogart and Bacall. It's on TCM September schedule the 16th. I never knew he was an Olympic Athlete! Amazing information lonesomepolecat!

Dean wants to bid all the athletes a good night - also Audrey Hepburn (Sabrina 1954) and Doris Day (APRIL IN PARIS 1952), as he sings - as Audrey says - the song of Paris.
