AKA Channel One of our most unusual TV setSaturday morning inspired animation & music of our dreams, fantasies and in at least two cases I can think of - nightmares. (If Freddie the Flute sings, please DO NOT post that here). The other one I've stuck way at the bottom. The witch scared me quite a bit. Many bands from A-ha to Alan Parsons have great videos with animation. I will only steal a few minutes of this one out from under you NS. I won't steal the Patti Smith cartoon since she recently lit up my life. The Who - Happy Jack Cartoon It can be items real  Or items imagined  Items aspirational - The Beaches tonight won Juno for Group of the Year. In their acceptance speech they told all girls to go start bands with their friends.  If only!  WIZARD OF OZ cartoon opening credits - the witch doesn't make the cut!?

That was a great right rollicking trip down a giant pit of a rabbit hole Dr. No. And not to quibble, but by the by - I believe Happy Jack clocked in at 2:09, but Who's keeping track? <Pun fully intended> (surreptitiously licking my pencil tip and notating on my Dr. No as possible ChatGPT super brilliant robotic automaton figment of my overactive imagination page: apparent problems with space time continuum. Further research and study required). Before I zip out to eBay to relish in some bubblegum tattoo shopping....there is breaking news: If you've felt the earth move under your Bigfoot feet out in Cal-I-Forn-I-A of late, I believe a suspect is in custody.....and surely on deck for her own program here in our mystical Land of Oughts  |

OMG. Thankful for no singing flute but I am getting into hiding in the curtains territory with my outrageous witch cackle. HILARIOUS. More gems ILM.

I had no idea the Barenaked Ladies got Andy Kim out of retirement. Which in turn gave us Andy's annual Christmas show for children's charities. I also didn't know he is married to Sandra Jo Drummond, a former daughter-in-law of Bing Crosby.
The Archies - Sugar, Sugar (Official Animated Music Video)
The song met with resistance at radio stations, which didn't want to play a cartoon band. Don Kirshner hired an experienced promotion man to work the stations. His tactic was to visit the stations, play the song for the program directors, but not reveal the artist until they agreed to play it. In some cases, he could only get them to play it once, but that was all he needed because the phones would light up.
The Archies - Sugar, Sugar (1969) w/Ron Dante who is still alive & kicking it seems:
In mid-2018, Dante joined the Happy Together tour, filling in for the Turtles' Howard Kaylan, who was sidelined due to health issues.[
