The fans wanted to have it official. They would have felt dumb if the game resumed. Who knows, they might have hung around out of respect. My local news showed the play, which surprised me (not even from the Sports Dept, the regular news.)
Perhaps irreverent to speculate on what might happen if Hamlin passes away. Could the season be cancelled? I doubt it and I don't thank that would the indicated thing to do. If something bad happens in the next couple of day i would schedule a massive memorial on National Television and postpone the season and playoffs one week.
Injuries are now so rampant anyway and now the poopoo hits the fan! Flag football, anyone?

No way they cancel the season if, God forbid, Hamlin dies. In the old days, they would have continued with the game after they carted him off the field.

I agree that they should not have continued play. The players were shook up. The look on Josh Allen's face said it all.
But now the NFL is dragging it's feet. The world does go on. They need to resume this game at some time. Are they going to cancel the games this weekend? Assuredly and hopefully not. There is always a week off between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl. That week off brings in more money but let's see if they have the balls to use that extra time to clean up this mess.

The Chiefs-Raiders game at 4:30 (EST) looks intriguing  With the cancelation of the Buffalo Bills-Cincinnati Bengals game due to the unfortunate incident involving Damar Hamlin, the Chiefs’ road to the No. 1 seed in the AFC looks a lot easier. All the Chiefs have to do now is beat the Raiders in Week 18 to earn the No. 1 spot and a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs. Kansas City could lose their clash with the Raiders and still earn a first-round bye if the Patriots defeat the Bills in the final game of the campaign. However, if the Chiefs lose and the Bills win then the Chiefs would be the two-seed. |

Hoffmanite! Welcome. 😊 I was hoping the Jets would prevail for the playoffs so that all the New York Metro teams would be in play this year. Should have known better. Seed spot play doesn’t inspire me to watch much of the action today so I may just peek in on the Packers Lions game tonight as Green Bay could clinch and Detroit could be eliminated. |

If number 3 were to pass on, and Fate Forbid it should be so, it would prove one thing. PRAYER DOESN'T HELP. It helps the prayer because it makes them feel better, simple psychology.
There are studies to prove that. Two control groups, one who prayed for someone, the other no pray for the same person. It was more complicated than that and the result was ; Prayer does not help for the prayed for. The prayed for did not get better.

The Packers leading Detroit, 3-0, with nine minutes left in the FIRST QUARTER, GO FOR a FOURTH and inches on THEIR OWN 31. The didn't get it. I am turning off the game. This is not football it is stupidball. They deserve to lose after that idiocy. It's getting harder and harder to take this game seriously, as a fan. I was looking for the Laundry Channel where we can all watch people doing their laundry at a laundromat but I couldn't find it.

 Lions take Packers with em to the off-season. I didn't watch the entire game but what I see did see was a lot of sub-par passing from Rodgers and stupid penalties on Green Bay D. And it's not like Detroit had the stoutest defense in the league. Too bad. |

Pats eliminated. Awww, too bad. Tough luck, Billy Boy. Maybe next year. The Pack is not back. Get lost, Rodgers.
The Steelers needed three things to happen, but only two did. I doubt they would have gotten very far in the
playoffs anyway. Had a good second half of the season and finished (just barely) with a winning record. Good
way to end things. Next up, get rid of the Cowboys.
