A good defense is a good offense. Not quite, but understand what you mean. You can’t count on a good defense to be your offense. Look at all those great defensive squads the Bills had for years, for stretch they had the best defensive core. Not a single ring since the merger of the leagues in ‘70, though they did go to the party a few times. While I’ll probably not watch the entire game the Titans at Green Bay match tonight should be interesting. We’ve got the recurrent “Aaron Rogers is washed up” spin among pundits again and the Titans have been struggling. Course, I’ve always liked the Pack but still don’t understand how they let Davonte Adam’s walk, though I’m glad to see Cobb back (activated from IR today). Neither team has winning records but I suppose the Green Bay name is enough to garner a respectable ratings share. Thursday Night football used to feature elite match-ups but I guess there’s no realistic way to schedule/project which teams will be dominate 6 months to a year ahead of the present.

Aaron Rodgers and backup QB, Jordan Love, leading the Pack out of the tunnel tonight. Is Love actually getting snaps? Against the Titans, yeah, he’ll likely get some 3rd or 4th quarter opportunities.

The crowd at Lambeau just booed Aaron Rodgers and the Pack as the exited the field for the half. Titans just about neutralized the Rogers effect by dominating time of possession, employing a savvy defense and unleashing the raging bull, Derrick Henry, in crucial downs (48 yards, 1 TD). I expect more of the same in the second half. 14-6, Titans.

Tannehill was in great form tonight. Pack D didn’t let Titans run away with the game but the Titans overall strategy certainly worked. Final 27-17, Titans.

I meant to say, "A good offense is a good defense." I reversed it. Used particularly in those situations where a decidedly inferior team is playing a superior team, a team with a particularly potent offense. The Vikings did that well with their superior time of possession in the first half against the Eagles. The Vikings did not prevail but it kept them in the game and gave them at least a chance to win.

Yet another story book ending for the Chiefs. Truly, there is that big Chief in the sky. Every time they pull the rabbit out of the hat I maliciously go back in mind to that horrific meltdown they suffered at the hands of Cincinnati last year in the playoffs. We learned that day that the team was not in fact hand picked by God.
The Chargers are TOAST !!!

My Bills finally broke the tie with a fabulous 2nd quarter ending TD pass from Josh Allen to the acrobatic Dawson Knox -
Go Bills!

On the NFL Channel a repeat play of the greatest comeback in NFL history. Down 33-0 at the half the Minnesota Vikings win in overtime, 39-36. Few probably saw it on television. Who would stick with it to the end.? Woe to the Indianapolis Colts. With 1:23 left in the third period, it was 36-7.
The Chiefs need an OT to beat Houston (1-11-1). Jesus!

Anyone watching this Pack-Rams game? I'm admittedly in and out of this one and the Pack offense seems to be in good shape but Rodgers seems a bit off tonight. Not executing the way he wants and threw a pick. Might not be anything and he is certainly in better form than Mayfield but that last play was a bit comical. Pack has to win this one to keep any playoff hopes alive. 10-6, Green Bay at the half.

Loaded NFL Saturday afternoon. Toggling between the Bills-Bears and the Giants-Viking games.
Bills were trailing until the Singletary break out...The Eagles-Cowboys game at 4:30 (EST) should be interesting. Haven't watch them Birdz yet this season. Course, I can't stand the Cowboys. A laugher in Carolina -
