Wolf Alice - The Last Man On Earth (live) I noticed Will Smith didn't endorse. Hmm... I had to cheat, galacticgirrrl, but I won't give it away so that others may play. Of apocalypse and "...the arrogance of humans." -

I had to cheat myself. I am surprised Ellie even disclosed. So many songwriters just blank you on meaning - which I like - I guess. Or not. Depending on my mood.
Next up: this one quite surprised me....
Who is playing harmonica on The The's Perfect?

Thought maybe the same musician who guested on the harmonica here - he wasn't: What is the significance of Blondie's EAT TO THE BEAT (1979)??

Ha! Good one. That COULD be my mysterious harmonica player in preppy disguise. Goodness knows my mystery person disguises well - their big solo hit song is a very far cry (and made me cry tears of why!?) from what they are known for - like Squeeze Box (Who) or Love Is Like Oxygen (Sweet) - but a bigger x offender, if you'll pardon the pun.
OK not cheating yet - I think Eat to the Beat was the first video album to be released?

Wow. That is one for the history books. Usually I would have to cheat. Bravo to both of us for having such good taste and knowledge.
Do you still have your tape? I ask because the world has gone bonkers I think.....
I was in a Value Village (Savers) recently and they had marked up junk cassettes to $20 and $30 dollars. And we are not talking rare collectible stuff - we are talking Ozzy Osborne.
I really need to read Debbie's memoir. I was just reading a bunch of articles / book reviews trying to decide if I should take the leap. She doesn't let us in all the way apparently - but then again maybe Grace Slick didn't tell me everything either.
I feel ridiculous to say this one now makes tear up a bit

If I still have the cassette somewhere, I'd be surprised: The attrition rate for those tape cassettes! (Or was it just my PIONEER deck was especially insatiable??)

^ Oh, sorry, I forgot to finish with...
Why the apology, galacticgirrrl: EAT TO THE BEAT, song-for-song, might well be the most solid playlist of any of the Blondie studio releases.

Yes I might club you with my green tambourine or vibe mallets. Take good care and beware.
I always wondered about the source of all the long brown strands of tapes blowing all around whilst I collected up pop bottles in the agent orange roadside grass.
Wow Google has me again - seems there is always a blog/podcast/article on EVERYTHING.
About my terrible mystery harmonica person's solo hit from the YouTube comments:
- If this song is ridiculous you can ridicule me like there's no tomorrow. I love it.
- I can't believe I never knew it was the same person from the [MYSTERY BAND]
- I hate when successful musicians pretend to hate the song that made the pinnacle of their career.
Cripes they did SNL with it, The Tonight Show and it was in TV commercials. I guess I need to take it out for a spin and see if it still pains me.

Is a puzzlement...much of the song is apparently about Berlin
In a 2022 interview, Gold said that it's "a great privilege" to have "Big in Japan" and "Forever Young" in "their luggage" when touring, and that he is grateful to be able to perform the songs.
The group employed a Roland System-100M to create the bassline. The timing of the song was influenced by "The Safety Dance", changing the speed to double-time halfway through the song. The melody was developed by all three members of the band, working in their home studio.
