Stop talking about me!! So says jimimac71 who in 17 posts at SSO has mostly just complained about stuff over here:
"I don’t wish to beat a dead horse, but chatter about me continues on CMTR.
It is annoying! I don’t know how to PM, so I will say it here.
I have not posted to CMTR since leaving (JJG).
Game over! No one is moderating! I will NEVER return!
The people posting as Guests will end up destroying things for TopBilled.
I want to enjoy myself here without the constant negativity over there."

Funny but I wondered is the guest "Stranger passing through" was this jimimac71 person. Yea, I know the "qoute" feather is sometimes hard to use, but why would you quote your own post and then ask a question like "is that you?" ? Notice. Aside from the difference in writing style, there is a difference in name. There is "Stranger passing through" (me) and then "A Stranger Passing Through" who appeared a few days ago on a different thread. When I replied to him on the other thread, he replied in a post with larger font than the default, to match mine. Now he's posted here, and claimed credit for a board modification in the guise of a complaint.
If I had strong feelings against the guest feature and, before deleting my account, got into a debate about it with a poster who used a certain guest name, I might later post under that name to make a point. Now that I've pointed out the difference in user names it will be interesting to see if he uses my "Stranger passing through" name again.

"...Claimed credit for a board modification in the guise of a complaint." What does that even mean? For someone who made such a fuss about leaving, there are a couple of you at SSO who can't stop complaining about this forum. Odd.

I should have said "next" not again. (You can't edit a guest post.) Anyway I will cease with the "Stranger passing through" name, to avoid confusion.

Stop talking about me!!
"Post by jimimac71 » less than a minute ago
It isn't you being spied on over there. Someone is reading everything I post on SSO and putting it on CMTR. None of the "real" people there seem to care, only the child like guests. Based on what I just read, my most recent post is already being quoted. I am puzzled as it appears as if Lucky Dan has gone undercover as a guest poster too. They are counting how many times I've posted here and claim everything I say goes against them. Not true. Just the lack of moderation over there. One guest over there claims SSO is next as there job is done at CMTR. If nothing can be done about this, I will have no choice but to delete my account here too. Funny how I'm an Android guy on an Apple forum and nothing ever gets like this"

Thanks for the clarity. The humor of the situation is so funny, I can't stop laughing. I'm sure you get-in. It is like a drunk that continues to come to their local bar and then complains to the bartender, stop serving me drinks!!!

20 posts at SSO, mostly complaining about this forum:
"Since I can’t do it myself, I want my account here deleted. No one here can do anything about it and no one over there will either. None of this is worth dealing with!"

Thanks for the clarity. The humor of the situation is so funny, I can't stop laughing. I'm sure you get-in. It is like a drunk that continues to come to their local bar and then complains to the bartender, stop serving me drinks!!! It's amusing, yes.
I never meant to make "Stranger passing through" an alter ego. I just used it once to post some navigation advice when I was reading the boards without being logged in. It was just easier. Then the back and forth began. It has not been my intention to deceive.
I like using guest names for posts that don't involve conversation, like music video or movie reviews, where I just want to post and go. I figure most don't really notice or care. Plus it can be a kind of creative endeavor to come up with a name that relates to the post. The novelty is wearing off, though.
I'm hoping this other "Stranger" and Jimi, whether two people or one and the same, is enjoying this and not having a mental event. I doubt the sso crowd is enjoying it.
Whichever, I'm not playing any more.

I do very little moderation here because I don't want to fan any flames.
Also I remember when I first started posting at TCM's message board and sometimes I would get upset about something and say something rude and I'd get a warning. I had to learn to be more tolerant and appreciate people who were different than me or commented on things differently than me. In short, I had to learn to mature. And so I like to give others time to learn to mature too, without over-moderating or policing behaviors.
Now if there is bullying or abusive language, I will have to moderate, right? But mostly we have smart and polite adults posting here.
Also, I see we had 994 guests here today. Some days it is well over 1000 guests. I figure some of them may become regular posters later. If they make a quick post as a guest or newbie without registering, as a way of seeing whether this site is a place they'd like to join on a more regular basis, then I am okay with them being guests at this time. I am not going to prevent someone from posting something as a guest that could be really insightful and contribute to this message board in a good and meaningful way.
Finally, I have said in another thread that I have two jobs plus I have to help my stepmother who doesn't speak English, communicate with my father's English-speaking doctors when he is ill. So on some days my time is limited on this site. And I have to trust that everyone is carrying on in a constructive way until I check back in later!
The main thing I really want for this site, aside from posting about pop culture, is that people be supportive of one another, as much as they can be. That is all.

Maybe it's time to take a break from online forums, jimimac71. This seems to be a drama of your own making. At this point you seem to be bad-mouthing this forum and harassing TopBilled. We wish you all the best.

The UI (User Interface) could use an optimization on forum topics. One enhancement would benefit all, but especially those forums that have fast growth, like today's 'Sunday Live' which added about 10 pages today for its film. I hope it occurs to other readers that the page widget should also appear at the page BOTTOM to allow the advancement to the 'Next' page for continued reading flow. It makes little sense to scope the page back to its HEAD-positioned page widget to go forward. What Say Ye? I'm punching this for attention one more time.
Try reading yesterday's Stella Dallas from the first page through to the last, to see the irritating effect. Please do something about reading flow from page to page without having to go to top-of-page to advance. Thanks.

Thank you to TB or the powers that be that have fixed up the search button. Not perfect but 100% better than before.
