Default Font Size Would like 12 pt. Have seen other posts about the size too.
New posts when using New Tab currently shows first post on the page, not the first unread post.
Last post when using New Tab pressing the time on last post works, but New Tab is not an option.
Larger Emoji set; something like used on TCM current set is too small in drop-down (char size; hard to see), limited in number, and, at least for me, not standard with other forums I use. Bonus if pop-up text description in selection list. Not a huge emoji fan, but useful when text is supposed to be funny and not taken seriously or giving emphasis.

For a new board, this is working incredibly well. Hats Off, TB.

Thanks for the suggestions. When you use the New button to go to the first unread post, you have to hover over it for a few seconds then press the button. It needs a second or two to process, so it is ready to find the first unread post. If you do it too quickly, it will just go to the first post on page one.
I haven't found a way to increase the default font size. I always go in and change my size to 4 before I start typing a response...you just get into the habit of doing this.
In terms of making the emojis look bigger, I guess you can enlarge the view on your computer screen. I do not have mine at 100%...I have it at 125%.

1) Can you eliminate the edit notice on the lower right side of the message altogether? Just looks cleaner without. Plus, as we all know, any good writer is a good editor. Any post worth reading will have several edits, imo.
2) If the site's going to feature emojis can we have a comprehensive set (at least a hundred?). The charm of emojis lie in their emotional specificity. Generic ones always feel, well.. generic.
3) Can we have a tab or sub forum for Directors exclusively? (Incidentally, that's my favorite director, A. Kurosawa, in my avatar pic.) Always fun to dish about the drama of their careers and film projects. It's also a nice link to platforms that feature their work on the web.
Thanks.

Well, I may have figured out the font thing. Even with Quick Reply, you can click the Reply tab to the right and all the extras come up. Unlike some forums, you can't click on the last post, just the last page. If so, I can't figure it out. I kind of like not being the only one to bump up my screen to 125%. I do so with my Windows machine and believe TB is a Mac person. It gets more difficult on a mobile device. Web browsers on a desktop/laptop work different than mobile browsers. With Windows, I can zoom the browser. In my case Firefox. The others do as well. At least the ones I know. My tablet is a different story. That is where a default font would be great. I think that is an issue for ProBoards. I am very much enjoying the forum!

As I mentioned earlier, I would like to be able to right click it and have the pop-up offer to show it in a New Tab, but that's not available at this time.

I just noticed there is no genre forum for documentaries.
"Independent films" might be a nice addition, too, but "cult" could work.

I am curious. What would be an example of a work that is both non fiction and not a documentary?Interesting point. What came to mind instantly was something like The Man Who Never Was (1950) which might be close since it supposedly stayed pretty close to the truth with little added dramatization, but was not an actual documentary. But I'd still classify that as a Drama, not a Nonfiction. Only thing I can think of that really qualifies would be something like some episodes of The French Chef with Julia Child that TCM showed quite some time ago.

I'd call that a TV show. Oh well. Taxonomy can be a tricky business.

Taxonomy can be a tricky business. That it is. But this is classicfilmtvradio... And TV shows can be fiction or not. Trying really hard to ignore the reality types though...
@tb created the genre class, so maybe he had something specific in mind. I just noticed the title that seemed to match your inquiry.

He did it to irritate me probably. But I'm ready for him. I'm going to post interview shows on it. Heh heh.

Please sir, may we have an INFORMATION, PLEASE! thread here? forums.tcm.com/forum/3-information-please/ [Or alternatively if I am just blind and can't find it. could could someone kindly help me white cane over to it?] I will be forever thankful to OLD FILM LOVER on the TCMs for mentioning the boards were closing in their post of Nov 17th.<Comedy Film About A Newspaper With Fistfight In The Newsroom> I only ever checked that one thread and would have shown up there after Nov 30 like Walter The Lazy Mouse wondering where on earth everyone had gone. I may or not be exaggerating when I say it was my entire s raison d'ĂȘtre, joie de vivre, reason for getting up in the morning. Thank you for your consideration.

I'd love to see Cave Girl return. I wish everyone used an avatar. The generic one from the forum is ever so boring.
