I didn't think I would have anything to contribute to this one at first glance but it it is quite fun once you stop to think about it. May I interrupt to ask if in all your various music boards and forays do you have one about classical theft/influence? I know you have posted a few here on CFTR but one of them wouldn't display for me and I don't recall offhand where it was noted. This would be one I couldn't contribute to at all but I would really like to know about/study. Listening to All By Myself on a road trip yesterday prompted my query..... Thanks Mr. S for any direction on where you might have such a thread. Rachmaninoff en All by myself Indeed Girrrl. It's on this very page. A thread called "Classical Rock". Sepiatone

Oh! That reminded me of a fun album....The Best Of Louie, Louie - Rhino 1983 Les Dantz And His Orchestra
Once again, a small cheat with the title words on the first one, but what a great song. The movie - not so much pour moi. Maybe I need to give it another go.
A girl I went to school with sang this in the gymn at some fun fair festive event. The whole school went silent and everyone moved towards the gymnasium. Her rendition was utterly stunning. I google Effie Samuels every now and then but never find her.
