It reminded me of how boring a life I lead. I only hope I can muster at least a safari into the San Fernando Valley while SoCal is still on fire... ROTFL! Oh dear. I shouldn't laugh at such things but one does wonder when it looks like a lightening bolt or rogue cigarette butt is how it is all going to end. Your Safari looks simply scintillating. Et aussi très intéressant: Our hotel has made plenty of appearances on TV and in the movies over the decades. Perhaps Norma and the dolls lounged poolside here in my rock'n'roll imaginationland. In my newfound spiritual journey to become a Jeff Lynne completist, I am shocked/dismayed/titillated to find this one lurking in the digital landscape of aughts, naughts and ones.

I think of those canyons any hot August night. The 1976 TV movie captured the eerie silence and the ensuing echos so well. It would be almost 40 years later that fire would claim the Barker Ranch. So many notions of what was filmed at Spahn but no definitive list. Maybe (the non animated) The Lone Ranger. All very spooky. Boy those were fun. Love the antennae fascinators. And Christine Perfect's beautiful artwork. How did I forget George played drums? Now a vending machine isn't exactly for TV broadcast, but it is tantalizingly ridiculously bonkers so it might as well live here. I'm afraid to pop into Sonic Boom lest I go broke...just one more token and I'll get that Nimoy disc...or the other ant man....   I can't find a youtube video so sadly you'll have to click thru on The Facebook link to see it in action. Je m'excuse. So interesting about the Raiders. I am lacking greatly in the merch department. I had no idea Michael J. Pollard had a model car issued (to my credit I don't think he knew). And I didn't know Pollard was The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. Really could use a thread about such words living in infamy...sinking like a Led Zeppelin, Smelling Like Teen Spirt...
Would love to do the costume below for Hallowe'en. I might be able to pull off Dyna Girl but need a co-vivant. I cast my mind back to an intern sharing my office one summer. She would arrange to meet colleagues on the phone by describing herself not as the one in the striped top, or the one by the potted palm...but as THE TALL BLOND. Zoinks.
