Thanks for another fine review, Fading Fast!
This one was great fun, I'm still laughing at Topbilled,s "Now who's the murderer!"
It's got me in a George Sanders appreciation mood. He did such a good job of being despicable in movies like this, I was starting to truly hate him, but according to his wikipedia he was well loved by many and as witty as the characters he played. Thank you. I, too, have been chuckling at Topbilled's line.
As to Sanders, you might like "The Strange Affair of Uncle Harry" (TCM runs it now and then) as Sanders plays, against type, a milquetoast...up to a point. Plus, the beautiful Ella Raines costars. It's a good movie and interesting to see Sanders not play the devious, confident and urbane man for a change. My comments on it here "The Strange Affair of Uncle Harry".
