"Letter to Three Wives," starring Jeanne Crain, Linda Darnell and Ann Southern as friends who receive a letter from their mutual friend Addie Ross, stating that she has runaway with one of their husbands. Each woman reviews her own marriage as they wait in suspense to find out who Addie is with.

This is a fun one. It's a full-force melodrama through and through. I've come to really enjoy Kirk Douglas' character in this one; he's a crybaby, but he's honest about it. It's also, IMO, (of the ones I've seen) one of Linda Darnell's best movies.
If it helps, here's a very good copy on YouTube: "A Letter to Three Wives"

Thanks for the link, Fading Fast! I agree this is one of Linda Darnell's best, her section is my favorite. This is the first film I saw her in and I can sure see why they called her, "The Face."

In 1985, a TV movie remake of A LETTER TO THREE WIVES was broadcast.
The main characters were played by Michelle Lee, Stephanie Zimbalist & Loni Anderson. Anderson had the Linda Darnell role, and her mother was played by Ann Sothern...the only actress from the original who took part in the remake.
The husbands were played Charles Frank, Michael Gross and Ben Gazzara.
Stephanie Zimbalist's costar from Remington Steele, Doris Roberts, had a supporting role.

Fawn: "I was just thinking, if I had to play one of the roles in today's movie, I'd play the Kirk Douglas part."
Me: "Umm, uh, sure."
Fawn: "I've always thought of myself as the dashing Errol Flynn type of actor, but I could pull off the pretty-boy teacher if I had to. You know, I did summer stock in college?"
Me: [wearily] "This isn't going to be the 'when I opened in 'Bambi' in East-nowhere Massachusetts' story again, is it?"
Fawn: "Jealousy is not a becoming trait."
Me: "Let's just watch the movie."
Fawn: "I was up for the lead in the troupe’s production of 'Robin Hood' the following summer."
Me: [with a little enthusiasm] "But if memory serves, you didn't get the part. [and adding in a hint of snark] Remind me, I forget, which part did you play that summer?"
Fawn: [mumbling quickly] "I played a fawn in Sherwood Forest."
Me: [feeling bad now, puts his arm around the fawn's shoulder] "Their loss. Let's just watch the movie. Hey, I got us Sno-Caps for when we finish the popcorn."
Fawn: [discreetly wiping a tear from his eye with his little hoof] "Thanks, buddy."

Awww, this week's Fawn story has pathos as well as humor. I'm a bit misty myself, now.

Because the story starts with Brad & Deborah, and Deborah is played by the top billed actress (Jeanne Crain), we can pretty much guess this is the couple that Addie Ross will pose the biggest threat to...

I get a good look at three houses in this! I love the houses and sets as much as you two like the clothes.
