Welcome everyone.
The features of the site are still being added. We want to make it fun for everyone...
Replicating what we have enjoyed on TCM's site, I am going to add the following sections later today/this weekend:
1. An Announcements section at the top (which I've just done).
2. Under General Discussions, I will add a Miscellaneous section with a board for Books, Food, Sports and maybe a board for Arts & Leisure.
3. I will add a section called DVD & Streaming, so members can post DVD reviews or make comments about streaming sites like the Criterion Channel.
4. Also a Special Features section will have some fun stuff to read. I think it would be nice to have a Guest Programmer section where every month a member can recommend three or four classic films and write something about why those films are important or meaningful.
***
I am adding a Genres section but the Genre boards will be in alphabetical order so there is no bias for any one genre over the others.
***
If anyone has a suggestion for something we might add or improve, please comment on this thread.

Curious about how you envision the guest programmer thing. Who might be invited as a guest?

Thanks everyone for participating.
Re: the guest programmer idea, if someone wants to recommend a few films in November, you are more than welcome. There's a Guest Programmer board in the Special Features section.

Thanks, Moderator. That’s a hefty job I would imagine. I’ll try to keep my end calm and collected, I gotta tell Dargo and Vautrin and MissWonderly and CigarJoe and Lafitte and ElCid and all the guys and gals, this is gonna be the new place.

Thanks TB, this looks to be a good site. The most important aspect of any site is ease of use and navigation, and this site (based on my preliminary experience) seems to work well. Let's see if this post gets published right away.
