I love this duet of the Jackson Browne song from their Western Wall album, which was supposed to have been another Trio collaboration with Dolly but ended up just being the two.

Say what you will!? Now you've had me off reading about The Divine Miss M. I guess I had forgotten about her various faux pas. And the one duet that (has) escaped her - Babs. What a shame. This is one of the greatest. I didn't have MTV at the time (I didn't have cable. The Stone Age.) but I followed the whole day live on WBCN radio from Boston. Later that night, Dick Clark hosted a three-hour recap of highlights on ABC and that's the first time I got to see this particular duet. My God. Mick engineered Tina's "wardrobe malfunction" years before Justin and Janet at the Super Bowl and she looked genuinely surprised for a second but then got right back into this high-energy number.
Mick and David Bowie prerecorded this duet for later broadcast during the event to help raise money. What a day.

This duet won my heart so permanently that I can't imagine life without it. John did a couple of albums of classic country-western duets with various female singers and they're all amazing, but this original is the absolute standout for me.
