Since you've died and gone to heaven, look around for this lady. Elva Ruby - The voice of an angel! Eat your heart out Barbara Streisand as Jimmy Durante says. And Pet Clark as I say. This is the kind of stuff dreams are made of <insert NO irony here> She made it to 1997 and I had no knowledge. Another winner I Love Melvin. AND this all links to a fistfight over Alice Faye at The Trocadero!? And The Cool Ones - 1967 with Glen Campbell - Wow. I of course with my bad eyesight thought you had posted Mrs. Mills. Had no idea her piano is the Lady Maddona Piano. AND there is a whole hour long documentary on her available. Thank you Santa! I will have no time to sleep at this rate. This is why I tried to restrain myself to only the Information, Please board on TCM. Gosh how I loved her roaring 20's album

One more and I'll stop. Gotta love these gals. They put their whole hearts into it, God bless 'em. They did an entire Christmas album, which apparently caught Pee Wee's attention. Heavenly intonations indeed.

To celebrate Mrs. Miller I wanted to post Heaven by the P Furs but Butler#1 looks way too cold in it.
Looked for Flowers but of course greedy google has no such real video or live performance. So have settled for this little radioactive nugget
As Language Come Up says in the comments: Sings like Bowie, looks like Rotten. Either way, this is one of the greatest songs ever and this is besMovie link: Isn't she? Terrible video, So so movie, Great band

Sorry, Lucky Dan, I've never been a big Stones fan.
Not even "Gimme Shelter?" Dam. Even if you don't like the recording, and forgive me but I find that very odd, you can still appreciate how the Godard clips were timed to the music. Quite right briannh20k. Imagine purloining Godard to try to prove such a precarious point. Will the madness never end. Once they drown the man from Pooh Corner it was over. That's right I said it <adjusting my tinfoil fascinator hat> All those stories about Rock'n'Roll Circus suppression didn't come out of thin air my friend. I will grant you Charlie is My Darling. Off to do my Harlem Shuffle into the sunset.

Quite right briannh20k. Imagine purloining Godard to try to prove such a precarious point. The Godard-Stones connection was not an invention by the YouTuber. It was very real. Godard filmed the Stones during their recording sessions of "Sympathy for the Devil" and intercut it with other footage he shot in England throughout 1968 for his film 1+1 (released in the U.S. as Sympathy for the Devil).
I found the editing very clever, and it happens to be one of my top 3 or 4 favorite Stones recordings.
Hey if you don't want to watch it, cool, but there's no need to log in to tell me about it. Just keep a scrollin'.

I was only pulling your proverbial leg. I adore the Stones, Midnight Rambler and all. I watched Sympathy for the Devil again not so long ago and was struck by what how lucky bigger bands like this were to have their history captured on film so beautifully. I would like to give Performance another spin. I had no idea about James Fox's breakdown when I last saw it. Kind of goes back to what you said about Peter Greene's guitar. One strange party in a strange castle (?)) and all of history is changed. Cripes, I still can't can't the hang of this ruddy quote/clip/snip button. Not meaning to say I said what you said.

Alright! Alright, already. I'll listen to the darn thing!
(p.s. I have more of an inclination to do this rather than not, but I thought a wee bit of bombast might keep up the feint) will let you know how I endure the experience.
In the meantime, at a family gathering, a nephew from California stated that he and his wife have begun surfing, She has become quite good, it appears, while he is only faltering and sad. Well as soon as I heard this story my musical mind went to Dick Dale and the DelTones for a song that includes the lyrics "Where the gremmies and the hodads never go." Never pass up on a song with gremmies and hodads. That's what's got me through life so far, with no serious complaints.

Oh yeah, I can hear you all singing in the refrain "Where the gremmies and the hodads never go". Then I hear you all sing "Never go!" Unmistakable.

Ok, Lucky Dan. You've convinced on this one. The pairing of the Stones and Godard was a surprising experience. So consider your work done here today to be a resounding success. There'll be a 5 pound bonus in your pay packet.

I'm alone at the cinema again. December 2, 1999: The Reverb. It was so packed the guy next to me fainted. Might of been the heat. Might of been overwhelmed by my ravishing beauty. Sadly the video doesn't have the gorgeous neon ROCK'N'ROLL sign they dragged around on tour.

You won't see him here but that's Jimmy Page on guitar. (And if you already knew that there's no need to tell me you already knew it.)
