I promise the next two movies are better.

That ending makes it feel like a pilot for a tv show full of laughs.
Well I enjoyed it. Even the over the top music was fabulous.
A good choice for me FF. I've never seen it.

I promise the next two movies are better. Not every movie will be an Oscar nominee for Best Picture.
For what they were trying to get across, I think the film was fine. It was acceptable and above average.

This was fun! Action packed and interesting!
It may have not covered every point on both sides of the union/management issue but nothing does. Every industry was different.
Last week I watched "The Irishman," with Al Pacino playing Jimmy Hoffa so of course it touched on how big and violent the union fights used to be. (I loved the movie.)

It's hokey but I enjoyed it. We have a couple of better ones - a precode and then a professionally done A picture - to close out business melodrama month, so having a cheesy one in the middle kinda fit.

How would you classify THE GARMENT JUNGLE? I saw it as a film with a B script, given a B+ cast, an A director and A- production values.

C script (it was so two-dimensional and preachy), B cast (I'd have gone A- except I thought Kerwin Matthews was that bad that he brought the rating down two notches), A director and B production values.
Fix the script and replace Matthews with an average good actor (heck, even one of the '50s pretty boys like Tab Hunter or Donahue would have done a better job) and this would have been a much better movie.

I would have replaced Kerwin Mathews with Vince Edwards. The women were okay, though I felt French was a tad stronger than Scala. The rest of the roles were nicely done, especially the work done by Richard Boone, Joseph Wiseman and Robert Loggia.

Edwards would have been a great choice and he was having a moment in B projects at that time. French was very good and I thought Scala did a very good job, too, with an awkwardly written role. Replace Mathews and give the script some balance and the movie would have been so much better.
