Now, THAT'S terrible loss for sure. Even though SESAME STREET was aimed at children, I enjoyed it too while watching it with my kids. Both my "kids" are 50 and 47 years of age now(respectively) and we still laugh over some of the humor injected in several of the "lessons" offered on the show. And both learned their ABC's and got a head start on reading from it too. so.... A hearty and heartfelt posthumous THANK YOU to Mr. Morrisett. And a sincere Rest In Peace. Sepiatone |

Somehow the like button seems awkward in this thread but that was a great article. As an avid viewer of Sesame Street I really appreciated this part: I agree that it is a bit awkward, because we really want to say "Thanks for bringing the info here". I guess an option is to post something or perhaps post an emoji. Yeah, the emoticon choice at the bottom right of the reply space in the TCM boards was better than just the "thumbs up" at the upper right here. But your options are a good suggestion. Sepiatone |

This very sad. I just turned 64 so its a little unsettling on that front. Lisa and I crossed paths ever so briefly at an autograph show. I guess that leaves John Astin the last of the original cast.

This is incredibly sad. Wednesday was my favorite character on the show.
John Astin (Gomez) is now the last surviving cast member. Astin also outlived both of his TV children; Ken Weatherwax (Pugsley) died in 2014.
