sorry jamesjazzguitar, something got lost in my trying to snip from one thread to another Marty is all sepiatone I am strictly McGoohan - making another faking it point. I think he does a pretty good job.
And now continuing with the Deliciously Diabolical theme, please allow me this special sepiatone selection, a tribute to his keen interest in King Crimson. [This is what happens when you mess with tone arms]
I mean this has got it all Mr. S - TWO drummers, a whistle AND a bird song whistle, sheet metal - does it get much better than this! [insert many winkie faces here]
Actually looking at Jamie Muir in action, maybe Fripp was right about problems lying elsewhere!?
Sit back and enjoy if you can.... King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic (1972)

BTO enjoyed a period of peak popularity between 1973 and 1976, releasing five Top 40 albums and six U.S. Top 40 singles (eleven in Canada). Robbie co-wrote (with Fred Turner) one of Bachman–Turner Overdrive's biggest hits, "Roll On down the Highway". Robbie Bachman

I can't even imagine the kind of left brain-right brain thing Levon Helm must have had going on to be able to handle lead vocals the way he did.

Somebody had to, so I'll be the one. There's a better live version from Blackpool but it wouldn't embed.

King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic (1972) Well girl..... Crimson did eventually cop one of my favorite drummers to help drive them on.... BILL BRUFORD, who came to fame with YES... And who can forget this solo by Santana's Michael Shrieve at Woodstock? Sepiatone

My Drummer Said That RINGO Sucks, So I Dared Him To Play THIS Beatles Beat!I enjoyed it even though I am more of an Ian Paice man at heart.

Oddly enough(for some) Girrrl, In a '70's Downbeat interview, Premier drummer BUDDY RICH made the claim that his favorite drummer from the "pop" genre was Ringo Starr! "Did his job and did it good. And with a panache that was unmatched". Was among the many good reasons he gave for his opinion. Sepiatone

Nice to see that Rich gave Ringo that praise. It sure is different than the poster I have of Rich (hung up on my wall in the music room), that says:
If you don't have ability, you end up in a rock band!

Don't think this man's been mentioned. And I can't think of any intelligent sounding reason as to why.
