I wonder what happened with the lawsuit the player filed against the family and others.

Just for fun in November - GARFIELD'S THANKSGIVING 1989.
That reminds me of another animated special -- A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING

A favorite of mine is a Thanksgiving-themed episode of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND. This scene always makes me laugh:

This holiday classic begins it's story on Thanksgiving at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade - MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET 1947. Starring Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, Edmund Gwenn with Gene Lockhart, William Frawley, Jerome Cowan and Natalie Wood (I love Natalie in her child star rolls!).
Even a cameo appearance by Thelma Ritter.

We watch we watch “Miracle on 34th St.” every Thanksgiving because it’s the perfect Thanksgiving movie. I love footage of Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade! It’s also the perfect kick starter to Christmas movie time.

It’s also the perfect kick starter to Christmas movie time. We do the exact same thing. We also watch “Miracle on 34th St.” each Thanksgiving at our house.
By the way, Valentine Davies’ novella of “Miracle” is very enjoyable. It’s different enough from the movie to make it worth reading, but not so different that a fan of the movie would object.
And some time that week, we make sure to watch the two Thanksgiving episodes of “The Bob Newhart Show” (the one highlighted above, where Bob and co. get drunk while Emily is visiting her parents for the holiday; and the episode in which Emily’s parents - with Ann Rutherford as her mom - come to Chicago for a surprise visit, causing friction with Bob’s mom, who’s trying to control every detail of the holiday celebration).
