If I remember correctly from the play, it's six months later. That make sense both Re Daisy's show and Loy's confidence to start showing her true colors .
Amazing too how brazenly she uses sex to manipulate him.

Yes, she should have waited a few days before trying to take over his life and showing her manipulative, mean side.
Daisy is now showing This was a worry the first time I saw it - ladies disappearing on trips is always nerve wracking.

"Do you remember this negligee?"
Diabolical. One of the oldest tricks in the book.
Sale? No sale?
Uh oh - the phone. Sold.

I agree, but I think we are at a year or at least many months into the marriage as Daisy is now showing, which means she's back from Mexico with enough canvases to show. Yep, my timeline was messed up. I didn't know they were married until she came down the stairs in her negligee.

Who but you and strangers - ouch.
I would think with all her angst the paintings would have be positively dripping with deep realism. Maybe ahead of her time. Shame we don't get to see them and judge for ourselves.

"It does get misunderstood."
"It can't, it won't, or the whole world's rotten."
Tom just doesn't get it.

"I'm going away."
"Think Daisy, wait, are you wise."
"I'm going alone."
"Yes, that is wise." (wonderful delivery)
Lena Stengel is outstanding in her small role.

I like the fact that the two women in Tom's life don't meet right away.
This is a gradual build to their inevitable meeting.

Oh dear - we did get to see a painting. Looked a bit pedestrian but my download is fuzzy. Will have to rewind at the end for second look.
