Great review Fading Fast. If that doesn't make people watch the film, I don't know what will!

Two great reviews!
I love reading them the next day and being reminded of all the best moments. My favorite being Peggy Cummins arriving at the family estate and instantly going into her posh accent for the butler.

Two great reviews!
I love reading them the next day and being reminded of all the best moments. My favorite being Peggy Cummins arriving at the family estate and instantly going into her posh accent for the butler. Agreed, that is a great scene. Also in that scene, one of the servants drops something (a fork or napkin), Cummins picks it up and puts it on his tray; he's so shocked that he gives her a surprised thank you while Mature looks on with disdain as if to say, "we don't serve the servants." I need to go back to see that again to make sure I just described it right, but I think that's how it happened.

George Zucco was Craxton, the family butler. He often played villains in low budget horror flicks. It's interesting to see him in this role in a studio 'A' picture.

For those interested in the book behind the movie, I just posted a review of the 1934 novel "Moss Ross" by Joseph Shearing here "Moss Rose".
