Since September has started on TCM, I've noticed there hasn't been any monthly advertising of September's films. I'm not sure, there may be a name for it but, it's usually seen as quick shots of various monthly movies, SOTM, Spotlight films and other items showing throughout the month set to music. It's shown between movies along with the other short items TCM shares. I have not seen any this month. Maybe I've missed it or there just isn't one. If not, does anyone know why?

I noticed another month that didn't have, shall I call it, a preview of what is showing for the month. I forget who, but I was told TCM does this every other month. I remember a time when it was every month. It's a fave feature of mine. I like to see if I can name the stars and films shown.

Interesting. I do the same thing - I like to match the movies to the schedule. I'll pay attention the next couple of months to see if there's a pattern to it. I never paid attention before and took it for granted that it was every month.

The only months they've aired a highlights reel so far this year were February, June and July.
There never seems to be any rhyme or reason for this. Possible exceptions are the month 31 Days of Oscar and Summer Under the Stars run. Since there's no special programming, Star of the Month or TCM Spotlights during those months there's nothing to showcase. |

I wonder if this was part of the big axe chop before Spielberg et al. got involved and helped get some things reinstated, so that these segments are due to come on line again by aren't fully in the pipeline yet? They'd also gotten rid of some of the creative team I think, so maybe there are fewer hands in play. I'd love to be the proverbial fly on the wall to see what's really going on there.

The monthly highlight reel seems to be back for October. They seem to have one every other month for the past year or so. The months which have consistently had one, however, are: February or March (depending on which month they are having their annual 31 Days Of Oscar), August (Summer Under The Stars), October and December. |

I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing difficulty logging into TCM film library. I've been trying for the past 3 days and the circle just keeps spinning. It never gets to the point to let you put your password in. I don't think it's my computer because I can log into other media. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm thinking it might be something in TCM website but I'm not that tech savvy to know. Any ideas? - Films are expiring in their library that I wanted to watch and I can't get to them.

I know that on another thread the TCM Film Festival was discussed in real experience terms - so I was wondering if anyone out there has ever gone on the TCM Cruise?
Recently I've been thinking about doing that - oh not this year but perhaps next year 2025 or 2026.
The Disney Ships are suppose to be the best.
I would love to experience travel with other nuts - oh I mean people who love classic films like I do!LOL
- AND I'd love to meet the special guests aboard.
Any information to share???
