I was surprised that the Boris Karloff Mr. Wong movies were put on blu-ray. I liked Mr. Moto too but he was a Japanese character. Now the Japanese are our friends, and we have a complicated relationship with China. I can think of at least 2 movies based on real life that famous people that were homosexuals were portrayed differently. Mickey Rooney when he played Hart and Cary Grant as Cole Porter. I'm sure there are other cases.

Some cancel culture is welcome. There had to come a point where our society started to realize that previous representations were ill-informed.
Disney has canceled SONG OF THE SOUTH, and I don't think it's hurt one single white person. But it's made a lot of black people feel better. And that's a good thing.
