"Even those who thought the Moonshot was staged believed in Camille." Just got back from gassing up in anticipation of Hurricane Hilary's arrival - we lie in its expected inland path, and it got me thinking about the influence of Hurricane Camille on some television shows... Hurricane (September 10, 1974) - Referencing the Richelieu apartments, where a hurricane party for Camille was said to have occurred with catastrophic consequences, Hurricane was the alternative telefilm for kids such as myself who were not permitted to view the controversial broadcast of BORN INNOCENT that same evening. Now generally regarded as myth, the Richelieu pool party was still being furthered as truth when OUR WORLD made its documentary debut in the fall of 1986.

Best of luck to you and yours and I hope it downgrades by the time it gets to you. I live on the coast (East) and have been in the path myself, so I know it's something to take very seriously. Here's hoping Hilary doesn't muss that spectacular 'do of yours, NoShear.

Thanks for the well wishes, I Love Melvin, but - perhaps erroneously - I'd be much more concerned if we lived out on your side with the same storm. I think of it as I do 'tornadoes' in Southern California: There are tornadoes, and then there's The WIZARD of OZ! Speaking of concern, I'm kind of wondering about Sepiatone: His prolific Music posts dropped to nil a good two weeks ago...

Not that worried but maybe I'm being foolish.

It's not foolish to be cautious around weather events, especially these days, but I'm glad you're chill.

Speaking of concern, I'm kind of wondering about Sepiatone: His prolific Music posts dropped to nil a good two weeks ago... I checked his profile and he hasn't been here since August 6, so I'm a little worried too. But there could be lots of reasons, so let's hope he's vacationing or just plain sick of us and wanted a break. Nobody can put us in our place like you, sepia, so haul ass back here, OK?

Thanks again for the well wishes, I Love Melvin, but Hilary has been nothing more than a lot of rain and some wind for many in So Cal it seems... Ironically, something we don't take as lightly in terms of threat - an earthquake, occurred yesterday: www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/magnitude-51-earthquake-strikes-ojai-area-rattling-nerves-as-hilary-pounds-socal/ar-AA1fx5fy

There's been some posts over at SSO too about his posts that stopped at the same time as here. Someone there said he posted on NitrateVille about a week ago. Hope he finds he's been missed and smoke signals are being sent.

His last post at SSO was August 5th. At first, I felt he left SSO because he had a conflict with a Mod (who banned one of the users). But then he went missing at this forum as well.

I'm in the Northeast, Cape Cod specifically, so about 30 miles out to sea. We're no strangers to hurricanes, but not this one. I understand the area hit hasn't seen anything like it in over a century....Yikes! So I'll attach myself to your concern for those people and wish them the best. What a mess.

James, if that so-and-so shows up over there, please promise you'll let us know. He's an idiot but he's our idiot and it's not the same without him.

Glad to read, I Love Melvin... On the Sepiatone front, it's not looking very encouraging. Based on two or three posts from NitrateVille's sepiatone which I've read, they unfortunately lack our sepiatone's style - there doesn't seem to be any eye-winking sarcasm to them. Also, it seems implausible that Sepiatone would continue posting about silents while completely forsaking music posts on multiple sites.
