This kind of click-bait "article" really bothers me. There's no attempt to put the picture into any kind of context and no example of the kind of "criticism and empathy" it has supposedly engendered. It just exploits and perpetuates one of those tempests in a teapot Twitter (or X or whatever) specializes in in order to draw people in. I broke my own rule by clicking the link, not expecting anything scholarly but at least hoping to see some kind of discussion, but of course there was none. The idea that a young teenager recently in the employ of a powerful movie studio would have had any kind of agency in determining something like this is ridiculous. But outrage is so fun, isn't it?

These are the outrages I dislike as well. Pick a moment with no context as you say is lazy. Too much trouble for those people to research a bit-they'd rather look foolish? Years ago, I watched the Ronald Reagan funeral. Next day at work, people were buzzing about photos of all these people who slept during the service. I looked at the pictures- those pictures were taken when attendees bowed their heads for prayer!
I rarely click on these links myself-afraid of viruses, etc.
