I'm not sure what Oprah's motives are, except probably to keep her name in the news.
Politics have always been a bit blurred in the U.S., despite people boldly proclaiming one side versus the other.
The anomaly that always caught my attention were the Kennedys. They are Irish Catholics, right? But they are Democrats. And Catholics, core Catholics, are pro life and opposed to abortion. However, most hardcore Dems are in favor of abortion. So how can most of the Kennedys, especially the Kennedy women, be in favor of abortion if they are supposed to be staunch Catholics?
This means we have liberal Catholics. And the Kennedys are quite wealthy, so how can they really understand the plight of the poor Democrats they claim to align themselves with?
See, we have a lot of gray areas. But they're not the only ones that play it both ways.

I thought you were discussing people who blur both sides, or are truly independent.

My opinion: after voting for over 50 years, if you want a better justice system, pay attention to judges' sentencing and rulings. You don't need to sit in courtrooms to find out-just look at cases making the news. Don't pay too much attention to Presidential races. Most of what the candidates promise is not in their power to do. A quick look at the Constitution, you find Article 2 very short and the prez has few powers. Pay attention to Senate and House candidates-that's where the action is.

If we collectively (United States) want the world to respect us, we have to have to let everything play out. I've been reading Biden had alias e-mail addresses and we all know about Trump. No court cases should be stopped. Both sides are claiming witch hunts but as long as the trials are public the evidence will speak for itself. If whatever gets swept under the rug there will still be a cloud over the person's head. The war is destabilizing many countries. Ukraine's President is an actor. (Who had his own production company) He knows how to get people's attention. Ukraine and Russia supply food to other countries. Many citizens in other countries are suffering from the war but not getting the media attention. Unhappy citizens blame their government.
