So many great ones over the years.
Vin Scully was one of my favorites. He worked until he was 88 and passed away last year at the age of 94. He was married twice and had four children.

You started it right off with the best of the batch, TB.
Vin Scully was one of the best human beings ever to trod the Earth. I'm not particularly a Dodgers fan, but I am most certainly a baseball fan, and I spent many hours listening to Vin.....because he was Vin.
Coming in second place for me is Howard Cosell. You have not watched a boxing match until you've watched one commentated by Cosell.

I had the great opportunity to hear Vin Scully (Dodgers baseball), and Chick Hearn (Lakers basketball) for all of my youth. Two of the absolute best !
Ralph Lawler (LA Clippers), was great also. Especially since the team was terrible most of the time he was there.

Most people probably prefer their local sportscasters. Like here in Detroit most preferred Ernie Harwell and George Kell for the Tiger's games, Van Patrick for the Lions' games and Bud Lynch and Bruce Martyn for the Red wings. Never being into basketball I have no idea who did play-by-play for the Pistons.
Outside of Howard Cosell and John Madden I'm really not too familiar with the big three network sportscasters. And not being into college sports(I HATE when March rolls around!) I'm afraid I'm not much help there either.

Harry Caray was a memorable sportscaster for the Chicago Cubs. Here he is doing his infamous version of 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' during the 7th inning stretch.

Bob Uecker, the quick-witted play-by-play announcer for the Milwaukee Brewers, has been in the booth for the team since 1971. He's 89. Uecker was a below average major league catcher; he retired from the game after only six seasons of service. Uecker worked on a handshake alone until 2021 when he signed his first contract with the team (in order to take advantage of employee health insurance, etc.).
As most greats, Uecker has a catchphrase: "Get up! Get up! Get outta here! Gone!"

I'm partial to Jon Miller. He broadcasts for the SF Giants, and used to team with Joe Morgan on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. You haven't heard entertaining until you listen to Miller spin the yarn during a rain delay!
This is one of my favorite calls of his, from the 2003 season in a game between the SF Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks (this was actually a radio call.)

sagebrush, I was thinking how your city has provided some wonderful location shots for film - including Experiment in Terror which has both of Vin Scully's squads to root for:

Bill Hewitt (son of Foster Hewitt) is my all-time favorite. Hockey Night in Canada, ay.
