There was an episode where somebody tried to blackmail Grant with a phony video. Jim and Artemus switch movies. My point with A1, couldn't anybody claim they were being framed. With these deep fakes.

I could see Trump claim the subpoena for documents was a fake and in order to protect the nation, that is why he didn't turn all the docs over. These docs were safer being stored in bathrooms, ballrooms and with his valet.

I don't know if these stories were really ahead of their time. Instead, I think today's political crooks are just BEHIND the times...because they still haven't figured out that they cannot get away with their crimes and corrupt activities.

Ah, but TB, many political crooks have gotten away with their crimes. Because sadly, everyone has their price. But let's stop here so this thread doesn't turn into a political free-for-all and get deleted. WILD WILD WEST was a "forward" looking fantasy Western, displaying many items of a technology not yet realized at the time the stories took place. Much like the novels of Jules Vern and H.G. Wells did. It makes no sense to reconcile past fantasy thinking with today's intrigue. History proves that AI wasn't needed for people to claim they were "framed". Sepiatone

Sepiatone What I wanted to get across to the original poster is that the stories were in a way Of their time, because crooked activities were always going on...and probably 50 years from now, the show's stories will still be relevant for the same unfortunate reason. It is not a political debate, but it is a comment on how some types of people don't change. Society needs these stories to make sense of human behavior. And that is me painting it in the broadest terms without devolving into a debate about current figures in the news.
