I have not yet seen the 1957 remake. But it's hard to imagine topping William Powell and Carole Lombard.

By coincidence, the 1957 version was released on blu-ray today:
Perhaps TCM will eventually get around to showing it again now that there is a nice source available.

I think the last time they showed it was when June Allyson was Star of the Month. And they broadcast a cropped/pan-and-scan version, which was disappointing. I recorded it, but expected a better presentation of this rarely seen version.
Nice to know there is a blu-ray now available.
