I discovered the above song, "Toi" from an Italian film entitled "I Knew Her Well" a movie I love to distraction though it is does not get good ratings. The song comes near the end when the heroine is driving home. The song is played in its entirety, or nearly so. There is a palpably bittersweet force that nearly drives me tears. What a marvelous thing the movie captured with that song.
It is available on the Criterion Channel.

I have just found out from a long ago post saying that I Knew Her Well was ranked 12th in Criterion's own list of their top 100 movies. That's quite a distinction considering it's modest ranking around the Web. They call it "an unsung masterpiece." I wasn’t aware The Criterion Channel had compiled such a list. Here’s the list in case anyone’s interested. Thanks, Hrothgar.

Back to jukin’… Though the movie’s a bit corny with the sometimes cliché ridden rags to riches routine the soundtrack - the actual songs from the film - are wonderful. They’re all sung by Doris Day with a duet or two with Danny Thomas. I’ve supplemented the rather meager official soundtrack release with other numbers from the film which make for a far more rounded out experience on Spotify. One of Day’s best collections.

Here is my nickel's worth for the Nickelodeon: Mariah Carey is not the Queen of Christmas. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has a completely different version byVince Vance & The Valiants.
Thanks to Lucky Dan and Admin!

Newport, 1965, and Mike Bloomfield backing Bob Dylan in "Like a Rolling Stone" wherein Bob refers to himself as "Napoleon in Rags" in this snotty broadside aimed at Edie Sedgwick.

Glad you guys know how to embed videos.
Not familiar with Wanda Jackson...thanks for sharing! I have forgotten how to embed video.
Copy the video link from you tube, or whatever your source is, then come here and tap the "reply" box to get the drop down of all the text options. (You can't use "quick reply.") From there, look for the film clapper board icon over on the right. Tap that, then paste your video url.
Edit: I like to type any text I want to include above or below the video before adding the link, and use the return key to create a space to place the video. Then highlight the video after loading and tap the centering box. Makes for a clean presentation.

At the top, above your reply and the quoted comment...you will see:
Font Face. Font Size. Then where you can bold, italicize or underline. Keep going, over on the right, there is a globe, envelope, picture and then a slate board. Click on the slate board to embed a video.
EDIT: I see Lucky Dan already told you! Thanks.

Not familiar with Wanda Jackson...thanks for sharing! Took me a while to find this song in glorious stereo. Now that Lucky Dan and Admin have shown me how to do this, watch out. Both Rock and Country Music took advantage of stereo in the 1960s. Wanda Jackson was also considered the Queen of Rockabilly. (Think Carl Perkins) The turntable is considered the finest ever used in the world of radio. Just look at all that vinyl. I'm melting.
