CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY (1944) hit screens in late July.
CHRISTMAS IN CONNECTICUT (1945) had an advance showing in July and went into wide release in August, months before Christmas.
CHRISTMAS EVE (1947) was released on October 31...that's Halloween!
I REMEMBER MAMA (1948) is associated with Mother's Day but was released in March.
BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY (1989) was not released in July but in late December to qualify for the Oscars.

Great topic!
Holiday inn (1942) premiered at New York City’s Paramount Theatre on August 4, 1942. That means that at least some audience members heard “White Christmas,” which was written by Irving Berlin for the movie, for the first time in the summer, not during the Christmas season. In reality, however, many people had already heard the song for the first time the previous Christmas Day, when Bing introduced it on The Kraft Music Hall radio program, which he hosted. In any event, by October 1942, Bing’s recording of the song topped the charts, going on to become the top-selling recording of all time.
White Christmas (1954) was released on October 14, 1954 — before the start of the holiday season, no question, but then running in theaters throughout the holiday season. The movie became the biggest moneymaker of 1954.
Easter Parade (1948) was released June 30, 1948, well after the holiday that year.

Now, there is this whole school of thought that Die Hard (1988) is a Christmas movie. Maybe a misguided school of thought, but a school of thought nonetheless. With that in mind, I like to note that both Die Hard and Die Hard 2 (1990) are set on Christmas Eve (albeit two years apart). But both were released in July.

Bachelor Mother, which starts on Christmas Eve and goes through New Year’s, was released on June 30, 1939. This one's really grown on me over the years. So do you like the musical remake, Bundle of Joy (1956) with Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher? I like both. Everyone talks about how bad Fisher is in it, but doesn't bother me at all. 😁

But I should see it and will record it the next time it's on - thanks for the needed push.

On this week’s “holiday” edition of Noir Alley (it’s off for the next two weeks for special holiday programming), Eddie Muller noted that Mr. Soft Touch, “despite its holiday trappings,” was released in August 1949.
