I have this film on a disc with THE BLUE DAHLIA. Called 'Produced by John Houseman.' I love "The Blue Dahlia." It's become my favorite Ladd-Lake pairing.

Here we go...
I was reading up on this film earlier...it was the number one movie in the U.S. four weeks in a row in May 1954. It was a big hit.

Thanks you two! I was looking for a fourth film to finish my selections for June with a "fathers" theme. B. F.'s Daughter will be it!

Are you still using one computer or do you have a second screen to watch on?

wiki: oh my!
The all-star cast created problems in scheduling, since only a handful of the lead actors had any commitment to MGM. The logistics of scheduling were so complex that the studio had to set an "inflexible" starting date two months in advance of shooting, the first time that MGM had ever done so

Apparently it was MGM boss Dore Schary's idea to go without a music score and just use natural sound. I think that was a good choice for this type of film, as it adds realism.

I know someone who has a crush on Nina Foch. I'm not naming names or anything.

Never trust a man with two toned shoes! Unless it's the 1920s and he's at West Egg.

Nothing as off-putting as over-scoring. I have a term for it but I won't repeat it here.
