I think this one will be a tough call...it probably boils down to which genre and lead star the voter prefers, since the films are of equal quality.

I think this one will be a tough call...it probably boils down to which genre and lead star the voter prefers, since the films are of equal quality. I don't know...for me, Bogart is one of my favorite actors and I prefer the noir genre to musicals, but I still went with Singin' in the Rain. It never fails to brighten my day and put a smile on my face.

"Singin' in the Rain," for me! Gene Kelly is not my favorite dancer, but the sheer fun and pace of the movie is fantastic.

I have to go with SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (surprise!) Many musicals with great songs and dancing are not necessarily great films. This one has it all; great film, great songs, great dancing, and great chemistry between it's cast members.
THE MALTESE FALCON, though, is hard to challenge in any era of film. Great film.
