I stopped going to TCM boards several years ago due to difficulty logging in. I went on the board today and saw that they were getting rid of it and I wasn't really upset but I saw Top billed started this and I joined. I can't even recall my previous username so I came up with the one you see here. I recall seeing Pride of the Yankees as a kid and I fell for that scene and Teresa Wright so her I am. The 99 part is an homage to Aaron Judge. (Sigh). Let's hope we get this here show on the road to success. |

It's clicking right along, seems to be the heir apparent. I must say I'm a little surprised folks are still posting on TCM since it appears those posts are doomed.

Welcome Tanglefoot. I feel for you not being able to log on. I went for several years unable to post on TCM's forum after they updated the board. Something about it didn't agree with my computer and my posts didn't wrap around, just went on and on toward the right margin (I probably had Windows 200BC or something.) Then we got new stuff and I was able to post again, but I had just lurked for years.
Moe, I imagine they just want to get their last words in at the old familiar homeplace and will be coming here in bunches during December. I sure hope so, anyway.

I was escorted away from the TCM forum almost 4 years ago. I guess the ban is done now. I have been able to view the TCM forum but no posting.
I just found out the TCM forum is closing.

Hello Top!!! I know that sometimes in the past over at the TCM Message Boards we have had a few (maybe a lot) dust ups about any number of issues, but I just wanted to let you know just how much I feel in congratulating you with coming up with this wonderful idea of creating a new movie message board!!! Some over at TCM have stated that they can not see themselves coming over here due to whatever relationship they had with you over the years. All I can say to that is... Let bygones be bygones. The past is the past. This thing you have done by creating this new message board is a thing of beauty. You should be very proud of your accomplishment here.
Hope to have very meaningful conversations here!!!

Hello to all. I just migrated over from the TCM boards where I was DougieB for many years, but its usage lapsed in my real life so I wanted to start new here, with a new avatar too. I'll probably lurk like I did there and jump in occasionally. I haven't had any luck getting onto SSO because I wanted to give that a chance too, so maybe this will be it for me. Nice to be here.
