Bafta Game Awards: God of War wins six but Vampire Survivors takes top prize www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-65128679OK this statistic from the BBC item above shouldn't have surprised me but it did: Last year gaming sales accounted for £4.7bn in the UK, which is higher than that of the film, television or music industries, according to the digital entertainment and retail association (ERA).
I must say one of my favorites, no doubt a 'classic' that no kid today has ever heard of is the James Bond game for From Russia With Love. I particularly loved when once it jammed in some manner so that I was able to wander around the different scenarios with no live action happening. It was delightfully strange. I would have liked an option to turn on such an odd mode. I also would have liked a 'skip' button for some nightmare situation in a boat in the sewer tunnels that I could barely handle.
