⇧ Nicely done, you made some really good ones in there.
I was hoping to find one of John in the coat and hat she wore in the last (or second to last) shot of her - she looked great in that outfit.
Andrea chose a fun movie with this one.

Galacticgirrrl! Something you said about Mary Astor in the Dodsworth chat caused me to look up her trial. Wow! Her purple penned diary ranking all the stars she'd slept with made me see her in a whole new light. LOL Andrea and Galacticgirrrl, I just noticed that on April 11 at 4:30pm ET, TCM is running SCANDAL: THE TRIAL OF MARY ASTOR 2018.
From TCM: BRIEF SYNOPSIS A woman has to make a difficult choice after learning her personal diaries have been stolen.
I must have fallen into a hole in 2018, as I don't remember this and, in my sad, shallow life, TCM is something I usually pay close attention to.
BTW, that is a freakin' awesome picture of lovely Mary.

Thank you for the picture and the information! I definitely want to watch this.
The very idea of a court using someone's diary is horrible to me. Like reading her mind!

I can't quite put my finger on why.... But it seems she never takes a bad picture.

Oh I love that picture of Mary Astor. They had so much beautiful hair during the early silent years and then they started cutting it off and mashing it into marcelled waves. The photographers often put the light behind the women to show off their halo of frizz. I was born too late in that respect.

The photographers often put the light behind the women to show off their halo of frizz. I was born too late in that respect. The marcelled waves of the '30s and the even-worse "poodle" dos of the '50s where two not-good hair fads for women in movies.
