Odd. E.g. The Roaring Twenties.

The Roaring Twenties airs on April 10, when Raoul Walsh is one of the spotlighted directors. Most of the other well known Cagney films (not Angels with Dirty Faces, of course) air at different times during the month under different themes. I am finding the month lineup a weird hodgepodge. Pretty much all the films one would expect are there, but not necessarily where you would expect to find them.

Daytime and Primetime April 18 The third 48-hour block of Studio Contract Players. It's a clean division again this time. Entirely women today, entirely men tomorrow. A documentary about Joan Crawford airs during her featured time, so she gets only one scripted movie.
1) Joan Leslie The Male Animal (Henry Fonda, Olivia DeHavilland) (1942) Two Guys from Milwaukee (Dennis Morgan, Jack Carson) (1946)
2) Virginia Mayo Colorado Territory (Joel McCrea, Virginia Mayo) (1949) The West Point Story (James Cagney, Virginia Mayo) (1950)
3) Jane Wyman Johnny Belinda (Jane Wyman, Lew Ayres) (1948) Stage Fright (Marlene Dietrich, Jane Wyman) (1950)
4) Joan Crawford Mildred Pierce (Joan Crawford, Bruce Bennett) (1945)
5) Lauren Bacall To Have and Have Not (Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall) (1944) Harper (Paul Newman, Lauren Bacall) (1966)
6) Well, the website says Geraldine PAGE, but she didn't make her first movie until 10 years after the ones listed. My guess is they meant to say Geraldine FITZGERALD Watch on the Rhine (Bette Davis, Paul Lukas) (1943) Nobody Lives Forever (John Garfield, Geraldine Fitzgerald) (1946)

Ms. Fitzgerald deserves better.
