In November of 2007 Jeff Beck played five nights at Ronnie Scott's, a small jazz venue in Soho, a rare, intimate setting for Jeff, who was initially uncertain about the idea. The performances were well received and he was happy with the results.
A DVD was released in 2008 that contains songs not included on the CD. This video is an upload of the DVD.
Backing Jeff are Jason Rebello on keys, Tal Wilkenfeld on bass, and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums.
Joss Stone sings "People Get Ready," and Imogen Heap sings two songs. Eric Clapton also performed one night on two songs, including "You Need Love," credited to Willie Dixon and especially interesting here since both Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were seen in the audience that week and may have been in the house that night.
0:01:20 Beck's Bolero
0:04:48 Eternity's Breath
0:06:00 Stratus
0:10:45 Cause We Ended as Lovers
0:16:06 Behind the Veil
0:21:14 You Never Know
0:24:30 Nadia
0:28:15 Blast from the East
0:31:40 Drum solo
0:32:58 Led Boots
0:37:27 Angel (Footsteps)
0:43:06 People Get Ready (Joss Stone, vocalist)
0:48:05 Scatterbrain
0:52:35 Goodbye Pork Pie Hat/Brush with the Blues
0:58:50 Space Boogie
1:03:20 Blanket (Imogen Heap, vocalist)
1:10:00 Big Block
1:15:50 A Day in the Life
1:20:40 Jeff introduces the band, thanks audience, exits
1:21:40 Little Brown Bird (Eric Clapton, vocalist, guitar)
1:26:55 You Need Love (Clapton)
1:31:40 Rollin' and Tumblin' (Imogen Heap, vocalist)
1:36:30. Jeff thanks audience and band
1:37:15 Where Were You
1:39:45 Final bow and ovation, credits
The DVD menu screens appear for a few minutes, then at 1:44:00 there is audio of Jeff Beck's interview about the week at Ronnie Scott's, the songs played and the musicians involved. After a few minutes, there is video of Jeff speaking but the audio is badly out of sync with the video. I don't know if that flaw is due to the upload or caused by all the pauses I took to get the time stamps. Eventually it all goes completely wonky, but enjoy what you can.
