Richard Anobile, Prolific Author of Film Books and Post-Production Supervisor, Dies at 76
Richard J. Anobile, a noted author of film books and post production supervisor and producer, died Feb. 10 in Toronto after a brief illness. He was 76.

I was right in the middle of watching Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold (1975), in which Stella Stevens stars with Tamara Dobson, when the news of Stevens' death rolled across my news feed. Sort of made me feel responsible, somehow. I think my favorite performance of hers was with Glenn Ford in Rage (1966). Sorry to see her go.

My primary memory of Stella is Poseidon Adventure. I remember going when it was a huge event and the line wrapped around the theater to get in!
I recall the audience chuckling with some of her line deliveries, particularly about the suppositories!
Only three of the Poseidon "survivors" left I think.

I remember him most as one of the many Reagan-loathing comics of the 80s, then for the Hulk Hogan incident (warning: that might be a little upsetting to some) but I did see a few episodes of Law & Order when my brother-in-law would visit. Belzer was a pretty fair actor. Sorry to learn of this.
