Now, WHERE did I see that instrument combination before? OH! Yeah........ Nowhere near as slick pickers as the Texas guys, but memorable too. Sepiatone

I'm going to have to let that one set a'while.
All the talk of Saskatchewan and Johnny Cash had me out roaming the prairies. Lightnin' Hopkins and Donald Freed toured western Canada in 1975. Baby, Please Don't Go - Lightnin' Hopkins

Playing another prairie tune.... A touch of flute tossed in with guitar for good measure.

Well, that mention of Saskatchewan (and your clever reference to some lyric) brought to mind one of my favorite( and near top of the list) Guess Who tune.

A top Guess Who cut for me as well but you can't really trust my opinion - I love Stand Tall, saw Burton play at a mall and I love the movie Melanie.

Roy Orbison - Whirlwind (The Fastest Guitar Alive 1967) I do like a lot of Guess Who tunes, going back to "Shaking All Over" (although I did learn some time ago the band had a different name at the time they recorded it) But never did like their "so-called) iconic "American Woman". I suppose, as a nod to another thread, When I worked at an all night diner I learned how to trip the juke box and play all I wanted for free. This was their top song at the time and I wore it out! I love the story of how American Woman happened by accident. Randy's recollections are fun on his radio show, interesting and detailed. Looking around his guitar collection is....not sure of an appropriate word....he loves them I know but it feels a bit wrong to have so many captive, not out being played. I'm of a mixed mind. I watched a video of Richard Gere's collection being prepped for auction. Also really interesting.

Yep. Some collections and collectors can tend to be outlandish.

That probably doesn't even scratch the surface - just the collections of those willing to talk, foolishly talked or lovingly talked.
KEITH RICHARDS undetermined amount - crikey. I wonder what costs more, the guitars or having somewhere safe & climate controlled to store them all?
File this one under: Still listening almost 100 years later Same song, Different name
I don’t care who performs it, but this song to me represents hope, optimism and moving forward.

Stephen Stills is one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
...although it's generally accepted that Neil Young is the prime electric guitarist heard within "For What It's Worth".

Ha! This is the first time I ever heard and heard of that band and that tune.. Smothers Brothers comedy hour('67). Sepiatone ...which would not be the only tune inspired by the Pandora's Box insurrection to reach a television audience - forgive the interloping instrument here within this thread:
