We had a 1975 or 1976 Chevy station wagon. I have no idea what the model was - I didn't pay attention to those things as a child. It was a solid color - tan, I guess, or beige you might call it - but the body was remarkably similar to the car pictured above.

I did find this: The Griswold Family Truckster Just so you know the Wagon Queen Family Truckster in the National Lampoon movie is a 1979 Ford LTD Country Squire that has been modified by Warner Brothers, not by George Barris Sepiatone

So what's this thread about actually? About which car was used to make the Griswold station wagon in the VACATION movie?
Or station wagons in general?
I already gave the identifying info. And I'm wondering how the Volvo fits into any of this.

The Volvo model I listed was the car of The Saint, as played by Roger Moore. Yea, I think very highly of myself (ha ha). But seriously I picked that car, because I lean more towards a Euro centric viewpoint, (verses say, a US muscle car).

Then by that criteria I'd pick what I own now------ 2005 Chevrolet Equinox Not flashy, but not totally dull(I hope ) Sepiatone
