In addition to those two omissions, many of the comments noted the absence of Joanna Barnes.
Still, very powerful and moving as always and definitely superior, to my opinion, to anything the Academy attempts.

After watching it a couple times, I thought I was the only one who noticed a lot of people were missing. It's good to know that isn't the case.
Besides Sally Kellerman and Michael Callan, the following people were also absent - Betty White, Bob Saget, Bobby Rydell, Tim Considine, Andrew Prine, and Howard Hesseman.

Isn't the annual debate about whether someone primarily known via television should have been included?
Who knows how many film credits a performer would need?

All those jinsinna mentioned have made movies. Or at least appeared in a few and in some fairly good roles.

The tribute was beautiful as always, but I'm disappointed Tim Considine (The Shaggy Dog) and Clarence Gilyard, Jr. (Top Gun and Diehard) weren't included.

Although Tim Considine's filmography is short(nine films) the only one you mention is THE SHAGGY DOG('59)? What about THE CLOWN('53) EXECUTIVE SUITE('54), or PATTON('70)? Sepiatone

I'm a fan of Clarence Gilyard, Jr. from TV's Matlock. A fine actor. Leslie Jordan as well. My favorite is him and Betty White in Boston Legal.

Anyone know what the music problem TCM had with their first version of TCM Remembers this year?

"Hey TCM family! Unfortunately we had to take down the previous version of this video due to a minor issue involving the music. Please feel free to share this revised version."

The first version I saw which aired Dec 20 on TCM and the revised one uploaded to YouTube on the 21st sound identical to me.
I wonder if they had the rights to upload it on YouTube.

After seeing it again and paying closer attention I noticed it did mention CONRAD JANIS who most here probably know best from TV's MORK AND MINDY than any films he might have been in. So Jinnsina's point becomes stronger.
