I have several old polaroid instant cameras. first one is an unusable antique but marvelous eye candy showing a bygone era of polaroid technology. it is from over 60 years ago a model 230. remember those polaroid cameras with the bellows that you pull out and then can fold up into a compact form. some eye candy. it was a gift from my brother because he knows I like old cameras. I have a kodak S series 35mm camera but who is gonna be bothered with getting film developed? in the past I also had a polaroid Big Shot one of the biggest ole plastic cameras you've ever seen. had a swinger but they only took black & white film. also once had a polaroid square shooter 2. now today I have three polaroid instant cameras. an original One Step I bought back in 1978. also have a Spectra which takes wider more elongated rectangular shaped photos than SX-70 film. the spectra is a bit much though. it is a very heavy camera with sonar which to me is disconcerting. okay you're out west and wanna take a scenic panoramic shot of the colorado Rockies with your spectra. you mean to tell me within the space of a few miliseconds the spectra is going to send out a sonar impulse that will reach the rockies which might be dozens of miles in the distance and then quick as a flash the impulse is gonna bounce right back to the spectra in miliseconds before the shutter actuates? sure. and I got x-ray vision. I also got a polaroid captiva which is an SLR camera. the pictures can stay in the camera during development but the drawback is captiva photos are very small. anyways in the spirit of nostalgia I just ordered a single pack of SX-70 film from polaroid...for twenty dollars. cheap and I get 8 pictures. I will be inserting it into my one step which I've had now for 44 years. I also have an old GAF super 8 movie camera and this xmas will mark the 50th anniversary of getting it xmas of 1972.
