This doc ran on TCM and if you did not see it, look for it. I'm shocked by the deterioration of safety film, that films are not stored as much as I believed. That the Library of Congress admits that film collectors are more the source for preservation and storage than any agency.
How often have you heard that certain entertainers will live forever because of their films? It's going to disappear.
And I still charge that TCM does not promote interest in older films, it is only maintaining the current viewership. There needs to be some promotion to widen the audience.
