What happened to "Silent Sunday" today??

It was strange that there was no Silent Sunday Nights on the evening of the 4th. Instead they did 3 films with a '70s Black Icons theme, which based on Ben's comments was an indirect way to promote the TCM Pam Grier podcast one more time.
I can't remember the last time there was no Silent Sunday Nights.

I hope everyone is watching Peixoto's LIMITE (1930), one of the great cult classics that lives up to its otherwordly mythology. Although Peixoto only made one film, people who enjoyed it should seek more Brazilian cinema from the 1920s and 1930s. One of my favorites is GANGA BRUTA (1933), an exquisitely photographed silent film with every trick in the book and better than LIMITE.
