This is going back a few years, but my brother was a big fan and had their albums.

Hockey kisses for everyone Sounds like a good way to lose some teeth.I can attest to that. And the kiss can come from either end of a stick.

For about 20 years, my own family - and extended family (lots of uncles, aunts and cousins) - kept trailers in a park on the shore of Pidgeon Lake in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. I first heard this song over the end credits of a Trailer Park Boys movie and had a profound emotional reaction to hearing it. Sentimentality, eh.
There was a little girl - I believe her name was Emily - who created a YouTube video that set this song against images of the very park we were in. It was a beautiful video but it's now gone from YT. I really wish it was still there.

galacticgirrrl, the following guitar-laden number one is said to have made its American chart debut on this date fifty years ago:
Bachman-Turner Overdrive's song got the WHO comparisons shown it, galacticgirrrl.

Bachman-Turner Overdrive's song got the WHO comparisons shown it NoShear, where be all your pretty colours and font variables? I can hardly concentrate in this plain blackness. Interesting about the comparisons. Was it noted in the music press? Hopefully not the court room. Randolph was at the ELO show by the by. And no, sorry - I haven't finished banging on about ELO. Honestly it is like living in the dark ages up here looking for clips. You know I am not one for audio only but what the hey ho. This will have to do. Put on your dancing shoes mes amis and press PLAY. The Guess Who - Hey Ho (song written by Nickolas Ashford, Valerie Simpson, and Jo Armstead)

Myles Goodwyn once said he'd written "a lot of god-awful crap." Perhaps. But they weren't all stinkers.

And how could I possibly voice a complaint about this ELO thing of yours without hypocrisy: After all, you indulge my Townshendian tendencies, don't you?

I couldn't resist circling back to these guys. I've been watching TV since I went to the neighbor's house to watch Dick Tracy before we got our TV and SCTV was some of the best stuff I've ever seen.
