I recently discovered the forgotten feature which was paired with Disney's first reissue of In search of the Castaways when this then seven-year-old was so taken by the 1962 movie:
Interesting to note that the 1968 movie included a pair of Disney contract players synonymous with the studio: Dean Jones AND Kurt Russell!!
Another Disney/Kurt Russell release, NOW YOU SEE HIM NOW YOU DON'T, is seen advertised on the marquee of the following theater which was synonymous with Disney films at one time - the FOX on Van Nuys Boulevard - and was where I saw In Search of the Castaways, nickandnora34:
