Not a true Classic Duo, but I'm watching FLAMINGO ROAD starring Joan and Butterfly in a supporting role.

They were also in THE WOMEN together and MILDRED PIERCE.

Also of note, in none of those films did Butterfly play the stereotype of the time. Wonder if Joan and Butterfly had a friendship?

Butterfly McQueen wasn't in a lot of films. Sometimes her parts were uncredited. I think she was certainly typecast after Prissy which made it harder for her. Maybe there were roles on radio programs, I'm not sure.

I do like her performance alongside Crawford in MILDRED PIERCE.
