In honor of NoShear, who posted the sixty year anniversary of the album cover.

I've loved "All Summer Long" ever since it was used as the final song - over the end credits - of "American Graffiti". It was the most perfect song to conclude that film.

In honor of NoShear, who posted the sixty year anniversary of the album cover. Thanks, I Love Melvin!! Just as intrepid37 wrote above here, this song for me was thanks to the closing credits of American Graffiti... If I could only have one Beach Boys song to take to a surf shack on the proverbial desert island, you picked it, I Love Melvin.

Far superior to most of those movie/TV types who tried to be pop stars. It seems like singing came naturally to him.

Rubber Soul was my favorite Beatles LP in the 60's. The one I listened to the most.
Although the edition I owned was the Americanized version which actually did not have "If I Needed Someone" on it.
Now that I have the British version on CD, with its inclusion, I have to admit that I still love the Americanized version of the album more than the British version. Familiarity and nostalgia, I suppose.
The heart wants what it wants.

The heart wants what it wants. I've never really understood how the EMI - Capitol Records thing worked and why the albums were different and who decided. It still seems odd. I sold my Beatles albums a few years ago as a way of clearing house for my impending demise, but now I'm realizing I have to live the rest of my life without them and I'm pissed.
